Description:
To the east of Bophut, on a small island connected by a dirt road and ended with a large car park, stands the Big Buddha, a golden statue of Buddha sitting 12 meters high on top of a staircase lavishly decorated with dragons . At the foot of the main building, there are some other smaller golden Buddhas, one of which is lying, and numerous religious shops that offer the opportunity to make an offering. You can write your name on a small slab to be placed on the floor or you to say your good (or bad) fortune to one of the machines: choose the machine with the day of your visit and give you a number. Look on the wall which sheet is numbered out and your future is written there .. (in Thai and in English only) ... As is traditional Thai, remove your shoes before climbing the stairs and go take a look closer to the statue and admire the bay of Bophut. Nothing really impressive, but we can not help but go.
